Best Friends Forever

I am still not over the stacked bracelets trend.

So much that friendship bracelets are some of the items that are topping my Christmas wishlist. They are so colourful, playful and quite affordable (feel free to make your own!).

First, let's stop by my new favourite online store, Shopbop.

Next, ASOS has a few options like this Bead Rhinestone Friendship Bracelet.

Orelia Tiny Bead Heart bracelet, also found on ASOS

Esty is literally filled with thousands of original, creative and often one of a kind options - some of which come very cheap!

If you're panicking over last minute gifts, now you know where to go!

Uno, Dos, Tres, Quatro, CINCO!!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

While Frankie is busy celebrating in L.A. with the Mexicans, I've selected a few items from various Esty shops that will sure get you in a festive mood.

Let's start with a few printed pillows from Intheseam's Mexican Bingo Loteria Series. By now you should be aware of my appreciation of Mexican folk art.

La Sirena y el Diablito

La Calavera y el Cozaron

We're continuing on the home furnishing subject with this Lime Mojito pillow cover from Habitation.

Throwing in a few accessories like this beaded Sugar Skull brooch from Emerald Window. Isn't it cute?

And this set of His and Hers Mexican coin pendants designed by Adornments NYC.

You can wear them over your Frida Kahlo t-shirt from A Little Star Rock. By the way, if you haven't seen yet the movie with Salma Hayek about the life of this brave and talented woman, it's a must see.

Now that you're ready to party, have a shot of Patron for me (I don't drink tequila) and slam that donkey-shaped Pinata from Cheap Thrillz.

Fiesta! Fiesta!

MC in Wonderland

If you could create your very own imaginary world, what would it be?

Elgarboart Esty store offers a collection of photographs that truly depict how I would like my own surreal universe to look like.

The luminous landscapes and pastel colours convey an airy, light and soft atmosphere that really speaks to me.

I've always found carnival rides to be quite magical.

Americana-inspired architecture and pannels make me dream of escape, travel and fun.

Oh and Frankie, I did not forget you. There will also be beach activities in my Wonderland!

And here's the soundtrack to my fantasy world. I'm currently totally obsessed with this song! It fits with every frame above.

I think we got ourselves the first anthem to the Summer of '11!

UPDATE: OMG!!! just found out that they're playing at Club Lambi in Montreal on June 17th. I'm sooo going. Frankie, you should check them out at Coachella this weekend and give me a review in advance since they'll be there as well.

Let me take you on a magic carpet ride

You might have heard the rumour of their resurgence a few months ago...
Well, I've got the confirmation: Turbans are back!

I've recently witnessed a few early adopters at Montreal Fashion week and it appears that the turban is the frontrunner to become this summer's official hair accessory. Since the Prada turbans depicted above are out of my budgetal considerations, I found more affordable options on Etsy, including this Gunmetal Dot Studded piece from Babooshka Boutique.

Can't wait to wear it at the beach this summer!
And at all the outdoor festivals...
And while hanging out on the mountain on Sunday afternoons...
And while I'm cruising on a Bixi on the way home at 3 AM...
Anyway, you get the idea - I'll wear it everyday!

Am I the only one jumping on the turban bandwagon?
