Festival de Cannes 2011 - Red Carpet Recap

"La grande fête du cinéma" came to an end on Sunday, crowning Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life Best Picture.

Let's have a look at our favourite looks from the Croisette.

First, let's start with this year's comeback girl, Kirsten Dunst, who managed to constantly hit it out of the sartorial ball park throughout the festival.

I must say that I was delighted to see her being awarded the "Prix d'interprétation féminine" for her role in Melancholia. I find her to be a very underrated actress and it's nice to see her work finally being recongnized after so many years in the business.

I had to narrow it down to two winning looks for Kiki since there were lots of stylistic hits to chose from.

Here she is in a fabulous Chanel Haute Couture gown at the amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala.

And looking lovely in a Chloé dress, perfect for a bright French afternoon.

Gwen Stefani looked fantastic in a custom L.A.M.B. dress at the amfAR Gala.

Salma Hayek sizzled in Gucci on the Red Carpet.

Eva Herzigova gave us a tutorial on how to dress up a rather casual D&G outfit for the red carpet. But then again, how can you go wrong with these legs? Love the shoooooes!

Another rather casual outfit courtesy of Rachel Mc Adams. Her Monique L'Huillier silk trouser and sequined strapless corset combination is young, fun and chic.

Mia Wasikowska's Roland Mouret dress is just perfection with its clean lines and stucture.

SJP walked the carpet in this floral Eli Saab stunner.

Tilda Swinton's Haider Ackermann ensemble was perfectly tailored to compliment her statuesque frame.

I can't end this post without having included one single look from Givenchy!
Naomi Campbell was a vision in white at the amfAR Gala.
